Factory Cargo Cover Install

anyone ever put a factory cargo cover on a 1st gen xj that didn't come with one?

I have a cover and the plastic brackets. The back ones... no problem. The front ones are a different story. There appears to be a metal bracket behind where the plastic one mounts... I don't have these.

I have it in with double sided tape for now, but I know its not going to hold without some screws as well.

Any ideas?

The parts guide shows an "extension" (#6) on both sides.

thanks.

looks like its bolt in... perhaps I'll head back to the yard and grab it off the xj i got the brackets from.

Good luck! Wish I could find one.

where in socal are you?

I grabbed brackets, but the cover was still there in the sun valley yard...

Oooff... OC. It's a bit too far for me.

Not a biggie. I go to a couple of local pick-your-parts just to see what they have "in stock". I figure I'll come across one, one day. And maybe a spare tire carrier.

If I go back, and its still there, I'll grab it for you. Can parts train it down or ship it in a poster tube.
