Need help with tire sizing

What is the backspacing on the wheels and Why exactly do you need an 11.50?
 
my buddy has 32x11.50x15's on his with a 2" redneck lift. it took some pounding and cutting on the inner fender to get them to fit and they still rub at full lock. im pretty sure he has some el cheapo rims with 3.5" backspacing might be 3 :dunno:
 
if i were you i would get something a little wider than a 7" rim for 11.5" tires that way you can get the backspacing you want. just so you dont kill the tires with too narrow of a rim.
 
i wouldnt go beyond a 10.5 tire on a factory rim. tends to bubble the tire up and wear the centers. they will roll alot round corners alse
