A/C Compressor

I just got home from a 3 day wheelin' trip with no problems whatsoever. When I got in my Jeep to go to school this morning, it sounds like there's a dying squirrel in my a/c compressor. It's not rhythmic, but it's coming from there and the belt. What could it be? I've got a space on in my garage, so it's not too big of a deal. Any ideas?

Do a search on this forum for:
serpentine belt adjust
(Use the search tool.)

It doesn't happen at random...it happens all the time when the belt stretches.
All rubber belts will stretch...also make sure no liquid such as the water pump and power steering are leaking onto the belt.

Also... on your wheelin..trip...a lot of dirt and (mud?) got up there causing friction loss on the belt and pulleys.
