would it be worth the work to weld on the brackets to my xj 44 to fit it in my ZJ? would it be a worthy upgrade of the d44a?

The D44a is junk. It would be a great upgrade.

Find a TJ D44, should fit right. If your able to find a TJ Rubicon axle you would get a locker and 4.10 gearing too.

Except that the TJ D44 was a 44 center with 35 tubes..............:thumbdn:

I'll be doing just that after a trip in Sept, using the ZJ 35's brackets. Cant see dumping money into another axle.
