can i run one ton axles and keep stock engine and transmission?

I have a 95 jeep cherokee and Im thinking about turning into a little project.

Im wanting to run some pretty big tires, between 37-44s on One ton axles

Im wondering if I can do this and keep the 4.0 in the jeep?

can I use the jeep transmission and transfer case?

If not what does it take to have one tons under the cherokee?

You can do it as it's done quite a bit just do a search for one ton's as there's several threads in the ad fab section. Biggest things is the gearing in the axles to keep the engine running in the same rpm range.

look over on pirate4x4 also. they have a section for cherokees with a crap load of one ton builds. got lots of info
