Maybe this is a crazy thing, but I think my XJ hears me thinking about working on it, and breaks. :-(

Last summer I was getting together some stereo equipment to put in, and the starter went out. Last fall, I bought a sub, and the rear hatch lock cr4pped out the next week. This winter, I replaced the muffler, and within just a few weeks got rear-ended, had to get a new bumper. Now, I just got in my box of Brown Dog motor mounts and was planning when to put 'em in, and it up and dies in my driveway, dead as a doornail, not even enuf juice left to run the door locks. Battery or alternator, probably both :-(. So much for doing the motor mounts Saturday. How is it they know when you are looking at them with a toolbox and a plan?

Same here and what about all those times when you save up some extra cash for upgrades and it decided it wants a different part so it just up and breaks on you and causing you so spend all your upgrade money!!!!!!!

Yep know what you all mean. I'm sure you've seen what happened to my axle this week. Last weekend I picked up a 258 motor to start a stroker build and was suppose to go pick up some more parts this weekend.

TNXJ & Shrek: Yeah, exactly. Money or parts = breakage time! Spending all your cash just to get it to run again. :-( Although I think there are plenty of y'all who dont run your XJs for weeks at a time while you're building them...!
