I don't have room to buy a car trailer since I already have my toyhauler and jetski trailer in my driveway so I will have to use a towbar to get the xj out to the trails.I don't trust the brackets the towbars come with that are suppose to mount to the bumper.I am thinking of welding a bracket to the frame and have it come up so I can attatch the bars to.I was wondering it anyone has done this yet and had any pics or ideas.

make a crossmember that spans the tow hook mounting bolts. That should be plenty strong

Thats perfect.Would you trust that?I think the cheap brackets that come with the towbars are a joke.I am guessing it mounts to the frme like I want. Thanks
