Carrier Change for 4.56

I've got a 92xj with a 30 front and a 8.25 rear both with the factory 3.55 gears and I was wondering if I would have to change the carrier to go to 4.56 gears. also the rearend is welded if thats gonna cause any problems

Any advice on what to do i.e. good lockers to throw in there that will accept the new gears. Im not that well off at the moment so im really lookin for somethin cheaper than a detriot and the arb is basicly outta the question.

If you decide to upgrade the 8.25 from 27 spline axles to 29 spline axles; you will need to upgrade the rear carrier.

I know, who would want to do THAT!

Dang, wish I could take you up on it, but with Moab just around the corner; I ordered a new one from Randy's.
