Engine Swap

Problem: Need to swap out 89 XJ 4.0L Auomatic with a 91 XJ 4.0L HO Manual and keep the AW4 transmission.

Question: Has anyone done this?
Anything special involved?
Will the Computers match the 91 HO?

Been done oodles of times. No need to swap computers. Swap distributors. Use your flexplate, sensors, manifolds, valve cover, accessories and their brackets . Pretty much you're gonna strip the HO down to bare long block and put your Renix stuff on it. Knock sensor will thread into the block as will the coolant temp sensor. No big deal at all.
