I have a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier named Josie. Shes house broken and great with kids. Loves dog parks, hiking, and driving in the car. I just dont have time for her anymore since having Dillon. Id like to find her a good, active, loving home where she can enjoy herself. Shes not high strung like most jack russells, and has been VERY VERY well socialized... Including being the party dog at all our crazy college parties. Shes traveled this country back and fourth and has probably been more places than you. She loves being outdoors and sunning herself on the deck. She has never been aggressive towards a child and loves playing with other dogs.

Looking for a family, or a younger couple that is SERIOUS about getting a dog. Not those bi polar types that think they want a dog, then drop it off at the pound the next week. MUST BE SERIOUS. So, free to a good home... Call/Text me at 719-205-5455. Id feel way more comfortable with her going to someone in the Jeep crowd rather than someone on CL.

I have a JRT and ill tell you they are awesome dogs! I wont show my wife this thread or we would be on a road trip :(

JRTs can be very hyper but most will curl up on the coach with you for hours if you let them!

Dang Jonathon, she looks like an awesome dog! I know how hard it is to find a new home for an old pal.

We have our limit.

If it comes down to it, interview the shelters near you. We had to fill out a questionaire and give a brief interview before they allowed us to meet our (prospective) new dog. After we brought her home we had some problems. A volunteer came to our home to see what was going on. A trip to a shelter is not an automatic death sentence.

Yeah, the shelters not gonna happen. Im just not comfortable with that idea. Plus, im in no rush. Id just rather take the time to find her a good loving home. Theres gotta be someone out there.

She got along great with Karens Pit Bull back when she had it. She loves being around larger dogs. Let me know what you decide and I could come down one night and let you take her for a few days to see how it works out... just to make sure on your part.

naa. i decided to keep her. i dont think she would fit in anywhere else now that shes 6 years old. so far, ive been keeping her on a schedule and shes doing great. shes even got the run of the house now during the day and access to the porch.

I just saw this thread and was thinking that my dog would like a playmate but I'm glad you were able to keep her. I cannot imagine giving up my buddy for any reason.
