I got a little carried away yesterday. After my buddy got his F350 stuck in the mud we walked and got my Jeep while waiting for help to arrive to pull him out. Which led to me saying "I can cross that" and later regretting it. I walked out and checked and checked for depth. It was like 6 inches all the way I checked........

It fired right up after we pulled it out and let it drain. Drove it to a friends house and let it run for a while we vacuumed the water out. Shut it off and it decided not to start again. Looks like the fuel pump crapped out on me. Oh well, it's a small price to pay for my stupidity.

I was thinking the same thing.

And how are you sure your Fuel pump went out? Seems like it would be something in the Engine bay that went bad because of the water.

There is (was) a road exactly where I was heading. Yes it's all private property aprox. 120 acres. When the water quits flowing so damn much I'll head back out there and find a better spot to cross and take some pics.

I drove it for a couple hours after this incident. Shut it off in a buddies garage to vacuum more water out and it wouldn't start. Traced it all back to a no fuel issue. Pulled the fuel pump and it's dead even with direct 12v.

Threw in a new fuel pump and filter this morning and put a couple hundred miles on it. So far so good... :)

Note to self: Water cuts a channel in the stream bed.

Something like that... I'm can't find older pics of it, but there's a road right there's and a culvert for drainage which was still visible now. The water washed away the dirt around it obviously. Maybe next time I just need more speed...... :shhh:
