Have A Weird Problem!

97 XJ, 4.0, AW4. Driving down a rough paved farm road when I hit a pretty good dip. The Jeep immediately died and the electric fan came on. Tired to restart and while it would crank it would not fire. I replaced the CPS today because it had been giving me intermittent problems but it's still a no go.

Anyway what would make the fan come on? I had to unplug it because every time you turn the key on it comes on. Any ideas on what could have killed the Jeep from hittin a bump?

battery came disconnected?

Poor grounds will cause all kinds of weird problems. I'd check the major ones- battery to engine, engine to body, engine to pcm harness.

Might be worth checking your relays in the PDC.
