View Full Version : What I learned today about desktop screenshots

This was found by a friend of mine on another board

Couple of forums regularly do this... POST PICS OF YOUR DESKTOP!

One guy did... look at the last row of folders above the START button.
Ownage ensued. The server died in a mighty meltdown after the internet caught wind of it.
Last screenshot showed a surge of 1000 guest before it shut down.

I don't know what the lesson is here... :roflmao: just don't do that.

Haha, I dont know why he took it so hard, it's not like people who see it will know who he is. I guesse it would still be pretty embaressing though.

Did he originally post that screen or did somebody photoshop in those words under the folder?

Either way, very funny

I'm pretty sure it's real, from what he says on the forum.

He started acting like Charlie Wenzel. you know, talking shit to people and what not. And just being an ass about it. It snowballed from there.

Windows. Pah.

WindowMaker under teh loonix. It's pretty much the old NeXTStep GUI, and is so non-intuitive it's almost combative. I love it.

The guy sure didn't handle it well.

If he'd had some brains, he would have just laughed it off saying it was there as a joke...

I'm glad my giant dicks folder is labeled "Wedding Photos"...

:D

Do you have some system for remembering that? Are the real wedding photos in the "Goat Porn" folder??

I love how it takes hours to install software sometimes. At least my setup is a little more intuitive. Fedora 6 with mac envy. I don't miss Windblows at all.

I'm using ubuntu 6.06 on the notebook, it's nifty. About the only thing I need to get sorted is wmv support.

Yes, but remember that I like mine difficult ;) Actually, it's not bad from an installation standpoint - pkgtool takes care of the basics, the rest I build from scratch, and most tasks are pretty easy to take care of once you're used to them.

Mind you, the next upgrades are going to see the shift to a pretty much Mac-only architecture here for the day-to-day machines. I do like OSX a LOT...
