work on a
89 4.0 aw4 with a 242???????????

I thought 207 was a crappy tcase? Thats what I have and everybody says go to a 231.

207 is a decent case. The difference between the 207 and 231 is minimal. The 207 is the grandfather. I have also heard that the 207 and 231 have the same chain. Check the spline count on the 242 might be 23. The 207 should be 21.
