axle prepping

what do you guys use to clean up axles??
degreaser? gasoline? brush/wheel?

does anything need to be covered when the axle is being cleaned up and/or painted??

Do not use gas,its to flammable and very hard on the hands.Use diesel and wire brushes.

I use some gasoline and a few machstiks:dunce: really cleans everything up real nice.


na... you got it a Nice quality degreaser and a wirewheel is all you need for the job. (some brake cleaner would come in handy here and there butt not neceserry)
