Dana 35 spider gear shaft removal

I feel really dumb asking this, but today at the junkyard I set out to nab some ZJ rear discs. Well, I was thwarted by the stupid bolt that holds the spider gear shaft in place. Between the 2 tool boxes we had there was nothing that we could find to fit on it! Obviously it's 12-point, but is it SAE or metric? The cheap Chinese tools I carry in my junkyard box just might be to blame, but I want to make sure I'm fully prepared for the task next time before making the hour drive to the yard!
