View Full Version : I wish I owned a Commanche Lat Night

Last night I wish I owned a Commanche last night or had a trailer. I was finished pulling apart the 4.0 and was ready to take it to get washed. Well I had everything in but the block. Well the block is light enough I can carry it to the XJ and get it in. I got the whole block in but still had to push in the engine stand mount. There was no room to lift with my legs anymore and I couldnt slide it in on the carpert or tarp I had layed down. So I tried lifting with my arms and put to much weight on my back.

Well that hurt ALOT!!! And now I feel like crap today. I did still manage to get every thing clean which super sucks because I had to pull everything out at the car wash and back in. That might have been a bad idea. But anywho the engine is ready to go be machined, and I want some pain relieving drugs right now. Worst of all I still had to go to classes this morning and drive over several dips and bumps.

So I think once the lift and stroker are in, Im investing in a MJ truck bed converted trailer.

Better than a trailer, buy a whole one. This one (http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=102344)is about as perfect as they come.

Thats a pretty nice MJ Id love to own one some day lifted like crazy and all the other redneck fantasies. I dont care for the cowl though.

Why dont many people think a color matched MJ truck bed would make a awesome trailer. Same body lines, same brake lights, same lift, same color, with the big Jeep logo on the tailgate.

No one said it would be bad, I just think a lot of people would prefer not to see Comanches chopped up since they're a bit more rare than XJs

I have one, but I made it from a wrecked MJ that was hit in the driver side of the cab... the bed was miraculously spared. It was useful for awhile but I've since upgraded my hauling equipment. I might turn it into an offroad camper.

I think my personal preferenc on favorite truck would be the black toyota from back to the future. That thing was nice. I used to own a huelix at one point, got it for cheap sicne it was totalled, wanted something to test my body fabbing skills on.
