Sound Driving Me crazy

When going from a stop or letting go off the gas then hit gas again i get a clunk in the rear end. it almost feels like the axle. It almost feels like its moving and hitting something. What could it be Its a 2001. Has anyone evr had this? Thanks

check to make sure u-bolts are tight

check that your u-joints don't have any slop in them.
Check the trans mount

I have the same issue, and I checked my rear u joint and it has lot's of "slop" in it. The bolts are tight. What should I do here? Replace the U joint? If so, can anyone point me to a write up on how to replace this. A shop around here said they can do it for under 100 bucks but I usually like to do things myself. Any help much appreciated.

i would absolutely replace your u joint. you can learn how with a repair manual bought from any good or half way decent parts house.
