So I was thinking we should have a jeep work party at my house on either Sat April 10th (we couldn't start until about 2pm due to me working the overnight on friday night but could go as late as we want) or Sunday Aprill 11th (starting in the morning) or both. I am still having issues getting my jeep running so I could use a hand. If others have projects, we can get on them too. I have a nice dry garage for us to work in with a welder, air compressor, and a full compliment on tools. If we did both days, people could crash at my place and we could start up in the am. I can provide some burgers and dogs for whoever shows up. Post up if you are interested.

I'm down... would prefer Sunday, means it won't conflict if I need to hit the junkyard. I'll show up either way though!
What needs doing on the Jeep?
I can bring tools+parts for electrical issues, plus brake tools and all the regular stuff.

Might have to help a member in DWE do some moving on that weekend, otherwise I'd be willing to lend a hand with your Jeep and if anyone else needs to do stuff. My Jeep could use a few things but nothing really, so I'm going to ignore it :laugh3:

I need to get my black jeep running (I still am having issues with it) and I would like to get the front end stripped out of the blue jeep.
Whoever else has stuff to get done, bring it on!

If you want to wheel a little that would be fine as long as my backyard is not too muddy (since it is the only way to access the woods and I don't want it torn up). There are some downed trees out there that need to be cleaned up.

I'll probably still have my chainsaw in the toolbox on the MJ, I'm generally far too lazy to put it back in storage so it just lives there now. That thing works way better now that I've broken it in a little bit, performed flawlessly at the trailcut last weekend.

I would love to show up but I think I may be out wheeling (with the dirtbike). Plus my XJ shouldn't make the drive at this point since I haven't broken the gears in yet. If there is a next time I will def be there! :D

So why shouldn't it make the drive? Sounds like a good excuse to brake them in to me...
I finished braking in my gears driving to NACFest years ago.

excuses, excuses. you can do 500 miles to break in gears in NO time if you actually... try!

Well, before I break in gears I have to do steering and brakes. That's my problem right now. As soon as I get that stuff taken care of it should be no more than a couple weeks tops and that's if I only drive to/from work.

For those who are coming:
We will get things going around 2:30pm on Saturday and 10am on sunday. I will have food if we get hungry. It will be BYOB if you want some for when we are done wrenching (or getting frustrated). If anyone plans on coming and needs the address or directions again, send me a pm.

Been making some good progress on both of Lobster's rigs. Although the 96 still isn't running. Hoping some more people stop by today. Great weather for working on rigs!

Let me know if you need me to look stuff up in my 96 FSM.

What ended up fixing it? I'm very curious :read:
Also, while staring at my pile of junk last night I realized why the RENIX CPS sensor test procedure is the way it is. Only two wires are actually connected on the RENIX CPS connector, the third position on the connector is unused. So I don't think the RENIX CPS test procedure crosses over to the OBD-I/OBD-II CPS, though I'm not sure. I'll have to look in the 96 FSM when I get home.

It was a "wiring" issue...
