1987 Jeep Comanche 4x4 SWB
4.0L 117,xxx miles
5 speed (currently BA-10 that is stuck in 1st gear)
Black interior bench seat (comes with 92 MJ bucket seats not installed)

Have all parts to fix trans-
96 AX-15 trans & 231 x-case, new clutch,new slave/master cylinder, new flywheel

there is a little rust starting on the pass. rear over the flare
also the center window of the slider is broke( have another window, just needs to be installed).

The truck has been sitting inside for the past two years, I start it about once a month but the battery is weak.

wanted to add that has new 2 1/2" exhaust from manifold back with a flowmaster muffler & hi-flow cat

Clean looking truck! Any interior shots you can post? Is that the original paint?

I'd say if the tranny was working well and everything drove fine, $2k would be close to fair. With a busted tranny, you will need to cut the asking price in half to get action.

I can get some more pics up. The truck has been repainted, its no show piece but its great shape for a driver. I have all the parts to fix the trans new in the box(around $600 in parts), one weekend, a buddy or two, some pizza & beer and good as new;)

I just don`t have the time or desire to do the repair myself. If you were to take it to a shop I would think you could get the trans swapped for less then $400.

Interested. Think you could get some more pics? Interior shots, pic of that rust that's forming, underside, engine, and maybe a couple more exterior? You're right down the road as well...

I wish I had a better paying job, I would buy that in a heart beat. wouldnt pay 2k, but I would make a reasonable offer. good luck. im sure it will go quick.


edit: acctuly i pmed you about some pics. ill see if I can scrounge up some funds.

sorry for the delay on the pics, I decided to go ahead and swap the transmission.
should be ready for photos early next week(still in my buddy`s shop on the lift) after all this work I may just keep it :roll: :doh:
