Caveat emptor.

Strange, says it works ODBI and II, but later on it says 1996+, methinks they don't know what they are talking about.

Is this just software? Why pay for it when you can download the software for free? Google "free OBD II software" you will get nearly 400,000 hits although some may not be pertinent.

The connection is the key. Serial port on laptop or you will need a serial port to USB adapter.
