Well I made my decision and everything is final. Im transferring within my company and going to work in Kuwait. Its going to be one heck of an adventure. I have a deployment date of April 14th so the meet and greet Easter weekend is going to be my last chance with the jeep for at least a year. Id like to go wheeling one last time before I go and put the Cherokee into hibernation. It would make the 6.5 hour trip up all the better! Is there anyone interested in going wheeling Sunday after the meet and greet (easter sunday)? I know a lot of people will be doing family stuff but if anyone is game let me know! Id need a place to crash if it works out.

Remember to let Membership know you are shipping out and your membership clock will go on hold until you get back. It was a little thing we instituted back when I was President of NAXJA as a small thank you to the vets. When you get back the clock will start running again.
And by the way, keep your head and all other vital parts down and come back in one piece.

That would be cool but im not active military. Im going over as a maintenance contractor. I cant take advantage of a benefit that is meant for someone who had dedicated themselves to this great nation. Thanks anyways old_man! Im going over to help support our troops and to have an adventure. I just renewed my membership for 2 years and when it expires, ill do it again! Ill keep supporting NAXJA as long as I have a XJ. NAXJA has helped me many times and has put me in contact with some really great people.

I vote to let you do it anyway. I'm sure they wont have an issue with it?? Without your support the birds in the air....well, they wont be in the air and the soliders wont be either. Lets meet up a bit before you leave.....COLD BEER...i'll buy! I cant make it to the meet n greet as bad as i want to. I'm out of town almost 5 days a week this time of year. About a month or so and i'll be back to normal. Maybe we can camp at 282 and do some night ridin'! HELL YA!

A Cherokee is the only jeep thats affordable when you're in high school! I sold my first truck and got the XJ my senior year of HS. Best decision I ever made.
Looks like midtennjeeperz and I will be doin a little wheeling on Sunday. Im looking forward to it!

I am planning on going sunday as well, short mountain is a pretty fun little ride and is free. The reason why it showed up bible camp is because it used to be part of a bible camp and is right next to short mountain bible camp. the trails are actually country roads
p.s. you can join a couple of the other guys coming from a distance and crash at my place, couch is taken by 2 guys for the weekend but saturday night my son will be out with his mom so the bunkbeds and spare room is all clear
