the axle vent tube that stems from my dana 30 front axle has overflowed or been overflowing. i hopped under it today and noticed it was all over my brake lines, axle, control arms, etc. what causes this? it shouldnt be holding any water, and i changed the fluid probably a month ago. thanks!

Possibly overfilled diff or leaking diff breather hose. Jeep manual says fill to 1/2 inch below fill hole level. Most of us fill until overflowing.
This fix is for a rear axle. The threaded end of the vent is cut short, it catches less sloshing gear oil.
