comfort switch for 88aw4 in 93....

What do I do about the power comfort switch? Im swapping a 88 trans into my 93 (i was 2wd it was 4x4) didnt even think about it till i was scrapin the body and saw the switch. Im doi this today so.....HELP

Just wire it into Power mode, that's what the 92 and later do. Or use the 93 TCU that won't have the wiring for the switch and internally assumes Power mode.

easiest thing is to just ignore it, the TCU will default to power mode and if you are using the 94 TCU it may not have a pin on the TCU anyway

if you want to know how to wire it then study this diagram and give us more details about what parts are being changed

it doesn't matter.
The trans is the same, just the electronics between 88 and 93 are different. Plugit all into the 93 wiring and it will act just like it came from a 93.

thanks alot i figured it defalt to 1 of the settings, would prefer power...so yea!

As they have said,
Just use the 93 TCU and hook the trans up.
