ok now i understand that pre96 4.0 received the 18-19lb injectors correct? an the 96 an up received slightly bigger ones? just asking because of a set of ford pink top 21lb injectors that have been offered. now will the CPU recalibrate the system to compensate for the additional flow or will it need to be fitted with resistors? :attom:

Are the pink top injectors EV6 connectors? I believe your 98 still has the EV1 connectors--no problema, fiveomotorsports.com has adapters.

the CPU doesn't know what rate the injectors are. It is calibrated at the factory for a certain size, but doesn't know if you changed it unless you get it re-flashed. It simply uses pulse width. Upgrading to bigger injectors will put more fuel in the chamber, per pulse. Going to bigger injectors, without going to more air will make it run rich. Upgrade to a bigger throttle body, and high flow air intake, and then you'll have something worth doing
