Now if I may chime in....

You guys just need to learn how to deal with Flowers over there. The first time I met him was at Barnwell MOUNTAIN Rec. Area at ROM. Texas is not all flat btw, We have a park nickmaned "The Moab of Texas." I have never heard of a "Moab of Co." ANYWAYS back to Flower boy. He was drunk, bet you didn't see that coming, and came running up to me saying "YOU DRIVE TOO FAST" and walked away. I thought to myself "That must be Flores". A little later he walked up to me and said "Sorry, I was just playing. Who are you btw?" I told him who I was and his reply was "OH, Your Kurt." LONG PAUSE and then he stumbled away. I gave him hell (can I say that here?) the whole weekend. BTW, flores... Does you window still say "HOLA VATO"?

He has been pretty easy to deal with since then til we had to ban him for something so stupid, even flowers knew it was wrong.

Side note: If CO is so great then why do you here about so many fires here? OH, thats right. You guys run away from the fire while we run twards it with a case of LONE STAR BEER and some hotdogs.

Ok I am done.

Ok, alot of this is joking around. Please understand that.

The last time I was in CO, I went to the local bar and ordered a beer. Not paying too close attention, I placed it in my koozee and went to open it. I couldn't find the top of it. I opened the koozee back up and there was a 8 oz bottle sitting in it. WOW 8 oz bottle of beer. I had no idea they even made those.

Honestly, I didn't come over here to get involved with the whole "My state is better than yours" thing. To me thats kinda childish. I posted over here to make fun of Flower child, not CO. or you guys.

Ok ok.... I am not from Colorado or Texas, and I have some observations I have made over the years. Texas does have some pretty good wheeling, not as good as Colorado or even Arkansas for that matter. But Texas does have a lot of things going for it that both Colorado, and Arkansas do not.

Texas is home to Three of the top 10 largest cities in the country.
Texas has the second largest economy in the US, and the 12th largest in the WORLD.
There are more Texans serving in the Armed Forces of the United States, at pretty much any given time than Colorado and Arkansans combined.
And my number 1 reason to like Texas better, is that there are a hell of a lot less liberal nutjobs running around (either that, or the ones that are there are just too afraid to speak up.).

Ummmm. Thanks not a very good comparison at all. You found all the FLAT picutres of Texas. Texas is like it's own United States. We have desert, mountains, caynons, flat land, grasslands, COAST LINE and more.

Here are just a few of the mountain ranges:

Guadalupe Mountains (http://www.goingoutside.com/ranges/96_Guadalupe_Mountains.html) New Mexico, Texas
Davis Mountains (http://www.goingoutside.com/ranges/97_Davis_Mountains.html) Texas
Glass Mountains (http://www.goingoutside.com/ranges/98_Glass_Mountains.html) Texas
Chisos Mountains (http://www.goingoutside.com/ranges/99_Chisos_Mountains.html) Texas

And there is also Barnwell Mountain Range. Just because our mountians are much older than yours, doesn't mean we dont have any. Come to think of it, most of texas is either hill counrty or mountain ranges. There are far less square miles of desert and coastal plains.

xxmidianxx
March 17th, 2010, 09:39
Oh, and I would love to come wheel in Colorado as well BTW.

By the end of all this, it will not be a wheeling trip but an invasion. LMAO

Old Man is right though. Part CO used to be in Texas territory and under Mexican control. If Texas would not of fought for their independance, we all might still be there. The Texas President (Yes, we had a President), gave that land up so you could have a nice and square state.

I'm too torn on which side of the argument to fall on. I'm always gonna be that country boy from Texas, that's a given. Having lived in CO though, it's not all that bad a place. My family is here but all their debit cards still say Coors Credit Union on them. btw...that goes over great at the beer stores here. Which brings us to beer....Sure I was weened on the Silver Bullet, but thankfully I found my Lone Star roots and became a Shiner Man. If I'm not drinkin Shiner, my inner Messican is shining through drinking my XX.

Flores...These CO guys have no clue how much more interesting wheeling can be until you wheel up onto an East TX Meth Super Lab. =) That will put hair on your azz!

Smaller and more worn down a mountian range is means that they are older. Like the Appalachian Mountains are MUCH older than any other mountains in the US. That is why they are the smallest. See I did learn something in elementry school. Too bad it wasn't spelling.

Mmmm.... Shiner... A buddy of mine that lived in TX for a while turned me on to that. Shiner Bock is pretty much all you find in my fridge now.

If you have to chew your beer, it is not beer either. Trying to drink a Guiness is like trying to drink pudding. Ick.

When you are young and stupid, you drink all the cheap beer you can afford. It is usually in a can but they do put it in bottles to. If you are lucky, you have friends that will share the good stuff :lickout: As you get older, getting shitfaced on a regular basis with cheap watered down urine colored stuff becomes less interesting! These days when I feel like having a beer or two or maybe three :D I buy the best and take my time to taste it! And for any of you young whipper snappers who think they can shotgun a beer faster than me............... bring it :D

I'm generally with Raptor here (:wierd:), but XX Amber with a lime on a hot summer day with some chips and good homemade salsa/pico is the bomb.:peace: Otherwise, I like to pair my Jameson with a nice cold Guinness, unless I am enjoying the best beer in the world (IMHO), O'Dell's 90 Shilling. :lickout:
