What should the oil pressure be on a 90 xj with a 4.0 in it?

It has been discussed before, so search is a good idea.

Minimum (textbook) would be 10 psi per 1000 RPM.

I have seen the FSM cited as minimum at idle 13 psi.

Don't trust the dash gauge, use a mechanical gauge to measure.

As for readings at other than idle there really are too many variables in each different engine to have any usable comparisons.

Minimum of 13 psi at hot idle
37-75 psi over 1600 rpms
