Been thinking of having a NorCO Christmas Party at my place in Loveland this year. The wife in an interior decorator and spends a week doing the house up every year. Anybody interested?

Nothing too fancy, but my daughter is a professional pastry chef and will most likely do something. Or if everybody wants to kick in a couple of bucks for the meat, I could do a full BBQ spread with brisket, chicken, and sausages. The house can handle 40-50 people.

Does Mrs. Houston have any idea what kind of mess you're getting her into? Have you gone completely mad, Tom?

Hey, I do the cooking. As long as you guys don't track in any mud or grease, or spill your beer, or take a leak in the corner, she will be fine with this.

That should cut the crowd down considerably.

And by the way, my name on here may be old_man, but if you call my wife old anything, you will be lucky to live to hit the front door, and then when you are gone, she will start in on me, and it won't be quick and painless.:laugh3:

Well I finally had time to sit down and compare schedules with the boss and come up with a date for the party.

Saturday, December 16th.

We will probably eat around 5-6pm so people will have time to get home if they have a long way to drive. I figure it would be nice if it could start as early as 2pm, so it will still be light and we can see everybody's rigs.

The only reason the donation issue came up is that if 50 people show up, that is a lot of food and good meat isn't cheap. Either way, I will feed whoever shows up. As it gets a bit closer, we can do a list of who is going to show up so I know how much to cook. I will post up a map later.

Just so you know the drive time, I drove from my house in Loveland to Jeff's house in Colorado Springs in about 2:10 and did the speed limit the whole way.
