She's put forth a bill to enact a 5% pay cut on every member of Congress starting in 2011. It's a start, but 5% kinda strikes me as a token, meaningless gesture. If you're making $174,000 a year, 5% is an easy cut to live with.

I think all Senators and Members of the House should be paid exactly 4 times the current poverty level for a family of four.

Now that would give them an incentive to raise personal incomes, instead of destroying jobs.
