Anybody know what a typical rear axle weighs? Specifically I'm interested in knowing the weight of an 8.25, with drum brakes included.
Ballpark figure is ok, but if you're guessing, please say so.

When I had one shipped, they charged me for 290#
I think that's pretty close for a complete unit. (drums, brake cables, etc.) Some of that may have been the pallet, too.
