So i started narrowing the front of my xj about a month ago, then last week a wrecked tj came into my shop and got a new grille/coresupport so i grabbed the old one and it ended up being almost the exact width i wanted to narrow the front of my jeep too. Anyways i had nothing to do at work today so i bought some tube and got the grille final mounted then ran a couple new tubes and got rid of some of the old ones. Enjoy!
What i started with:

I still have some more tubes cut off and some to put in that will run in the front around the sides of the grill/radiator and some more running back to the cowl area but i got a good start on it now

tj not jk...jk grilles are probably as wide as a stock xj grill, they are huge.
Its different and im happy with it, but i probably wouldnt have went out and bought that grill, i just had access to a free one and it was easier and in my opinion looks better then cutting up the stock grill/header panel even more. I can see why people wouldnt like this, but dont worry im not trying to make it look like a wrangler or anything, its just kinda working out that way with me finding cheap/free parts.

Just giving ya a hard time. It looks good and I like that it's orginal. I only called it a JK because of the 4 doors.

Should have used a YJ one, then it would still have the uber awesome square headlights. Good work though :D

I really like the look of that. But somethin I wouldn't do to my own jeep.

That's pretty imaginative, and the price is right. Two thumbs for that idea!:thumbup:

Agreed. Is the right (passenger) eyebrow higher than the other? I like it!

I think this may be a rig that can be entered into the rig of the month... it is different!

The more i looked at the pictures the more i started to notice that too, when i looked at it in real life today it isnt as noticable as in that pic but the driver side bar needed the crest of the bend to be up just a tad higher:doh:...its not enough to really bother me or justify cutting it off and buying more tube....plus im adding more tubes to the front very soon so there will be more to focus on

I dont know if its that nice, but when its done maybe ill try...once the rest of the exo is done and my other axle is in and regeared. Thanks though, im glad you guys like it for the most part!

This is a pretty sweet project!
I have been thinking the same thing, but using a YJ front... or maybe trimming a little fat off a JK grill. I like the round headlights on the Wranglers, and the square lights on the Cherokees.
What ya gonna do with the fenders?
