Unless my MJ nukes itself somehow, I'll be driving down to the trailcutting/trailrun/whatever it ends up being next weekend. I'll be leaving sometime around midday Saturday from Worcester and leaving around the same time (or a little later) Sunday from Rausch Creek. It's a shortbed, and has a toolbox, so nothing ridiculously large or heavy, but I can shuttle stuff around. I'll either be doing 290 to 395 to 95 to 287 to 78 or 290 to 90 to 84 to 684 to 287 to 78 depending on who gets back to me about meeting up for parts on the way down. Cell number is 774 922 2854, I can pick up or drop off within 5-10 min of the aforementioned highways along the route if you are available at the right time, otherwise, pickup and dropoff available at the trail run itself and in Worcester MA (Hudson MA during business hours.)

Im going back and forth with Steve on those tires Ken... If we strike a deal, and I find someone that can bring em back from the trail run, Ill give you a call. If you can fit the tires cool, if not, no big deal.
Thanks for helping folks out!

OK, cool. He called me a while ago but I'm at work and I try to avoid the phone (texts are fine) - I figured it was something relating to this. A set of 27s should fit in the back no problem, the only stuff I've got on the list right now is some control arms and these (sorry snail, the 2dr won't fit :roflmao:)
I'm thinking I'll probably grab a few cases of yeungling on the way back if I end up with extra space.
For reference - I know that 1.5 engine hoists, a 4.0, an aw4, a 231, a few duffel bags of tools, and three car batteries fit in the back fairly comfortably. Makes for pretty good traction in the snow, too.

Thanks guys... Steve messaged me and said the tires were already gone...sounded like someone might have pinched them. Either way, I wont need anything brough back now, Unless I find someone else with some stock tires haha. Thanks though!

Update, also - I'll be doing 290 to 395 to 95 to 287 to 78 on the way out, and 81 to 84 to 90 to 290 on the way back.

Trip over, unless something breaks on the MJ I will be doing it again on the 27th+28th/29th. I won't have as much space this time as I'll hopefully be buying a new rear axle while I'm down there.
Hopefully this much advance warning will give people a bit more time to get purchases set up and pickup/dropoff planned. No idea what route I'll be taking, I'm flexible as long as it's not too far out of the way - the routes I gave in my last post worked pretty well.
Jeff - if you can get that bumper for your J10 lined up, I'm game, 78 goes right by where you said it was located. I know I didn't really give you much warning last time.

Np & thanks for the offer! The guy I'm buying from says he has 15" of snow on his parts trucks and is recovering from knee surgery so he wasn't able to access them this time around.
When the next trip comes closer I'll message him again and see if I can pay for your gas money. :) thanks

Wrong jeep :D I'm dumping the d35 in the mj and getting an 8.25 already set up for SUA. The d35 has toast brake cylinders, missing lugs, lots of rust, a junk cover, and what sounds like horribly screwed pinion or carrier bearings that I'm going to run into the ground. The shafts and carrier (and old carrier from my new d30) and some spare rims are becoming floor lamps. D35 housing and what's left of the brakes will be up for grabs free or going to the scrapyard.

Just to clarify, did you mean SOA? If you're thinking about my rear, its SOA, not SUA. I hope I didn't lead you on - no wait, that sounds bad. I hope I didn't give you the idea that I had something for you - no wait, thats even worse.
Anyway - my 8.25 is all set up for SOA - and you can still have it for the price we talked about ..... which I completely forget what that was, so you can just pay me whatever you want and I won't complain.
If you are thinking about going with someone else's rear .... then I look retarded.

If you can fit the four doors and both side rear glass I will surely provide the foam insulation. Do you need any tie straps or anything? (http://naxja.org/forum/member.php?u=8772)

FunWun - I will try. I might (probably) need tie straps. Right now there is a d30 just sorta hangin' out in the bed of my MJ so I'm limited on space but I really really want to get that under the MJ before this trip. Looks like so far I'm bringing that one 8.25 axle back (can put cardboard over it) and maybe another, I think I can get the doors in too, I'm going to go look at it and think a bit in 20min or so to see if I think it makes sense. Hopefully the weather is good.
It's looking like I'll be doing 290/90/84/287/78 and 290/90/84 again, I'm not too sure which one is outbound and which is inbound but plan on both routes being available plus pickup/dropoff at the trail cutting.

Stukboy - I'm also picking up the starter (would go for the alt too but realized I'm gonna be short on cash in the budget this month...) - will bring cash for that when I show up.

No problem, figure I might as well use the cargo space since I have it.
