hmmm just dirty oil or is that coolant?

so i popped the hood and noticed there was oil everywhere under the hood then i checked the dipstick and noticed this...

sorry for the blurry shots my hands were shaking....


it had a creamy look to it...

i checked the coolant and it was nice and green.

i looked over the oil soaked area and it looks like it came from the dip stick tube.
 
Its tough to tell from the pics but to me it just looks like dirty oil - it looks too clear to have water in it. When coolant gets mixed in the oil it looks like more of a milkshake - harder to see through.

There is always going to be a little condensation in the crankcase, nature of the beast. If you do lots of short trips in cold weather, there will be more condensation as the engine and oil do not heat sufficiently to get rid of the moisture.

Is the engine oil level HIGH on the dipstick? Is the coolant level LOW?

Clean up the mess, change the oil, monitor your operating temperature and the oil and coolant levels.
