Would it be ok to put synthetic diff lube in my 1999 XJ after it has had regular lube in it for 95,000 miles D30 frt and Chryco 8.25 rr ? Good idea or bad ?

its fine to use it, but why? if you drive off road much and go through deep water and mud alot, its a good thing to check and change your diff oil regularly. no sense spending the extra money if your gonna be changing it once a year or more....

I'm planning to raise the vents up onto the firewall.

synthetic is great for a street car, cause you'll not have to change it for a very long time... but in your jeep, as i said before,, you will wanna be checking it and changing it much more often, so why waste the money.
