Ok.. I have posted this same thread on other XJ sites.... but seeing as how NAXJA has the largest XJ membership I have come back here to post this as well.
I am curious to see what kind of stock console styles ya'll have. I have a "mini" console and it appears to be fairly uncommon. What do you have?
Hmm.. I tried to do a poll... oh well. Post up what you have.
If you are not sure what a "mini" console is I can post a link for you.

There were only two consoles available from the factory, the mini console and the full console. The Mini console is really just a non-console as it's primary use is just to cover the unsightly parts of the shifter and e-brake, the change holder is just a bonus.
Mini consoles were more common in the early years, after around 1987 you very rarely saw them in non-fleet / police XJs.

Mini here, but mine was a forest service XJ in its previous life
My 96 had the full, but I ditched it for the reason Grimm mentioned

Well, there was also the really rare option of the column-shift autos with the super-mini console around the t-case shifter....... dunno that I'd call it a console though.... IIRC, it was just the bezel and maybe a divot for coins and such just ahead of the shifter.....

Apparently I got lucky... BOTH of mine work. I saw working ones in the JY every day too, at least until a friend of mine asked if I could keep my eye out for the parts because his was broken, now the only ones I see are broken.

Ah yes, the uber-rare Column shift XJ, only seen that in police Jeeps.
Also of note would be a 2WD MJ, that would have no console at all due to the face that there would be no transfer case shifter and the parking brake is a pedal.

I've got a 2wd MJ with a full center console, it came with the bucket seats usually iirc. 2WD, automatic, full console, bucket seats.
