Doesn't look like it'd be to complicated. Just chop off the rear quarter like alot of us do, move and mount the hinges where it was cut off. Then just make that angled piece with some cross bracing inside for support and mount it to the hinges. Then make the side cover pieces to up to where the center opening piece would be.

your also going to need some beadlocks some huge MT's and some dynatrac prorock 60's :D

Looks sweet, but it doesn't look like the back is hinged. Unless I'm just missing the seams for the rear to open up. (Other then the tailgate)

what would be really sweet I think is if you chopped out the back corner, then moved the hinges forward and used the back hatch in an angle mount scenario. It would let you keep the rear window, but you could mount a thin rack across the window so you could still use it. Then graft a clunker MJ tailgate and rear sides on. Weatherseal and have an interesting looking bastard contraption.

it very well may not but i think he would do it on the XJ though... its just the angled back "HMMV" look that he would be going for, throw in as much usefullness as possible.

you could use the roof section for the angled part and put in a sunroof for your rear window :D and if there was enough room you could install a wj one that slides away with a touch of a switch!!! that would be awesome.

I like the idea of a sliding rear window . I also want to hing the slant so you could get stuff in and out .

you got a two or four door xj? a 2dr would have a better slant on it but a 4dr will look more like the inspiration (hmmv)

i think jeep dropped the ball on the whole design thing. the H3 looks way better than any jeep you can buy today.
and those tail lights are majorly vintage.
had some on a military trailer of my cousins.
they even have a smaller light in the bottom for running black ops
