had a quick question before i finsish puttin this axle in. im replacing the lp in my 01 with a hp out of a 99 however the 99 needs new u-joints are the ones from the 01 lp interchangeable with the 99 hp axle. does anybody know? its blizzard conditions outside and everybody is closed so i cant get any u joints other then what ive got infront of me and some of the 99s dont even have needle bearings in them anymore so they definatly need replaced.

Yes. Easiest thing to do would be to take the complete axle shafts from the LP and put them in the HP.

Just because you're pressed for time doesn't mean you are exempt from researching things... and expecting everyone to jump up and help you immediately ("???????????????????????????") is fairly ridiculous.
Remember that the unit bearings / hubs changed design partway through 99.
