Front Driveshaft, auto, 8.8...

Haven't yet, have heard from people I trust that I'll need a different driveshaft. According to http://truehi9.com/driveshaft2.html the d44 and 8.8 have the same pinion drop distance (1.5") and are within 0.3125" of each other on U-joint centerline to axleshaft centerline distance (8.8 is longer) so if you have any problems it'll be on compression, you might need to shorten the shaft 1/3" or so or do a hack-n-tap with less spline engagement.

I'm planning on doing this "soon"... all the parts are sitting around waiting for me to work on it again. Subscribed.

Yeah, I'm swapping an 8.8 into the wife's Jeep because her d35 had a spun wheel bearing and I fixed it just good enough for now (and I hate them.)

I'd like to get all the parts around and just spend a Saturday doing this. So even if no one else is sure, I will update this thread when I'm done.
