are you going to use wood screws to attach to that 2x4 (1-1/2" x 3-1/2")
If they are the same year, you should have no problems

Its quite a straight forward swap, quite easy. Gotta extend the VSS wires. Pull back the carpet, there *should* be holes for the Tcase linkage bracket on the trans tunnel, take out the rubber plugs.
