I am selling my Canon because I'm looking to get a new camera (Panasonic DMC-TS1). The camera and lens are in perfect shape with no scratches or blemishes. Every part of this is in perfect condition with no issues at all. I'm looking to sell quick so I can get my new camera.

Listing everything for $350obo, all or nothing. I won't sell individual parts.

The sale includes the following:
- Digital Rebel XT
- EF-S 18-55 Lens
- 128MB CF Card
- 2GB SanDisk Ultra II CF Card
- Ultraviolet lens filter
- Polarized lens filter
- Lens cap (both for on and off the camera)
- Battery and battery charger
- Camera bag
- Original box
- User manual in English and other languages
- All original paperwork

I can take more pics or provide more info. Here's a link to some pics of what I'm selling: LINK (http://bit.ly/amNxKn)

Here's a link to pics I've taken with the camera. The camera doesn't make the panoramas, but you can see the quality of the pictures that the camera takes: LINK (http://bit.ly/coEACe)

Yeah, this camera has lots of good features, but I'm an outdoorsy kind of guy so the waterproofness of the TS1 is very appealing. Along with the HD video.

the panaramics you posted... are they photoshopped or is there a feature to take multiple shots to make it or are they just cropped to that size?

I used a standalone program to stitch them together into the panorama; I don't know if the included software has that ability. The photos that make up the panorama are not resized to be smaller.

Here's a good example. Click the picture for poster size.

how many photos did it take to get the first one??

also does it have macro Zoom?

i looked up the reviews and specs on the body and lense and it seems like it would be a great light weight slr camera.

YJ-GENRAL

btw i couldnt see any seems in the first or second image at full zoom... nice!

I don't remember how many pics it took to get that first pano done, but it was probably 4 or so. You can use more or less. I just dragged a bunch of photos to the program and it did all the work.

The camera takes pretty good up-close pics, but I don't have a dedicated macro lens for it. It takes clear pics from at least a few inches away. I don't have the specs on the macro right now, though.

It does have this neat mode that takes pics back to back so you get a sequence of pics. (LINK EXAMPLE) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/bigalpha/sets/72157604769716555/). It also can take high speed pics so it 'freeze frames' something that's moving fast.

The camera is a GREAT lightweight dSLR. It just exceeds what I'm looking for in a camera.

Yeah, that's in part to the program and in part to the amazing picture clarity of the camera. It takes very consistent pictures.

im discussing it with my wife currently, she has no use for it (likes here canon point shoot camera) and she is going to ask my mom-law if she wants it... but im going to try and see if we can get it because i just dont want to pass up such a good oppertunity.

bigalpha

The point and shoots are good for portability, but the dSLR line is good for picture quality. I find that they take much more consistent pics and are much less prone to having fisheye distortion and fringe colors.

The battery lasts a helluva long time, too. I've gone months without charging it and using it infrequently.

Edit: LINK (http://www.flickr.com/photos/bigalpha/sets/72157617366221844/)to a folder with all the panos i have so far.

i know i want it and i can justify it but the better half doesnt think its good enough and part of the time i would want to bring it along on 4wheeling trips and she says ill break it or something... even though i explained that melkor doesnt break his.... no dice.

bigalpha

No worries, I understand about trying to get funding from the better half.

still available? i think my wife is going to talk to my mom-law today about it

just wanted to see if its still with you.

bigalpha
February 5th, 2010, 11:56
I do still have it, but someone has told me that they are going to buy it in 6-15 days when the tax return gets back.

If that doesn't happen, I have someone local who wanted to look at it.

If *that* doesn't happen, you're next in line.

YJ-GENRAL
February 5th, 2010, 12:16
ill let you know if shes interested and wants to get in line.

hey BA clear your PM's... you still have this? you interested in a complete 4.56 ger open diff hp dana 30 for trade?

bigalpha
February 16th, 2010, 05:49
Done. I do still have this, but that puts you fourth in line. Unfortunately, I'm looking for moola. It's hard to buy a new camera with gears; I think the cashier at bestbuy would call the cops on me.

. I think the cashier at bestbuy would call the cops on me.
yeah.... i guess it wouldnt be robbing them it would be more like an"involuntary exchange" ;)

YJ-GENRAL
February 16th, 2010, 06:42
it would have already been sold if BA would take cash in hand instead of waiting around for tax refunds.... stupid courtesy for others... thats not how you do business, bestbuy's not going to hold a camera for you if someone else wants it... (but they have stock, so that doesnt really count)

bigalpha
February 16th, 2010, 06:43
But BB *can* hold something for a certain amount of time if you ask nicely. :D
