Anyone in the sac area have a code reader i could use? I got a 92, check light is on and I dont know why. thanx

You could always buy one from costco for like 40$

92? youre not obdII though. dont you need a different reader for that?

sorry guys i blew it.. i actually have a 91, dont know what I was thinking. Guess i will just buy one. My fuel pump went out a few weeks ago, and that could be all it is. Im not sure. thanx neways.

Just do the key trick to read the codes from your xj. Just turn the key from off to run (not start) 3 times within 5 seconds and the CEL will flash a code showing what faults are present.

and if you think it your fuel pump, test it.
