The adapter is the rearmost housing section.
NB: simply swapping the tailcone for the tcase adapter housing will not be enough to convert a 2WD transmission to 4WD. The mainshaft for the 4WD variation is a few inches shorter than the 2WD, and you'll have to change that as well. Read: "overhaul." It's not a simple gig.
You'll need to find a 4WD version of the transmission for your conversion anyhow. This will apply to pretty much any 2WD-4WD conversion, save for the extreme long wheelbases with divorced transfer cases behind a 2WD transmission (these use a short jackshaft to run the transfer case, rather than plugging directly into the transmission housing.)

I read a thread on Comancheclub.com on cutting the 2wd rear output, since the spline is constant, and bolting on a 231, so I'm not worried about that part, just need the housing piece.

If you've got enough length of spline, can cut it straight, and chamfer the cut end, then you should be good. Have a thin, flat file handy to clean up the ends of the cut splines longwise as well - they'll probably want deburring.
Let us know if it works - and take pix if you can! This would be more for Archival information than anything else, since I don't know if you can do something similar with the AX-15 (yet...)

Ya, I'd do a wrieup on it, if I could find the adapter, see it between the trans and tcase?

With the Ba10...wouldn't you want to mate a NP207 to it rather than the 231 anyway?
I know that some claim there is a strength advantage to the 231, but I also know others that say the 207 is just as strong. Just a thought.
