Got a can of the Tal-Strip clear aircraft coating remover, is there any chance it will damage the aluminum 5 hole jeep wheels I want to strip and re clear coat ?

I powder coated a set of OEM aluminum rims, they really look good and last well. Stripping them was a real pain, took me about 6-8 hours a rim. They had to be spotless and sanded for the powder coat.
The clear came off well, the gold accent paint under the clear was harder. The old lace style OEM rims have a lot of nooks and corners, a good selsction of brass brushes, round, small etc. to work the stripper some, speeds things up.
If I ever do it again, I'll pay the $30 a rim and have them stripped, hot tanked and acid dipped. The local chrome shop, said they would do it, so did the galvinizing factory nearby, same price.
I figured if I was going to go through all the work, I was going to put something on there more durable than clear coat, so I had them powder coated (which really wasn't that expensive, when you prep them yourself).

Aircraft remover was chemically designed to strip aluminum aircraft skin.
I've even seen it eat epoxy, so that wheel coating is toast (and so is the valve core!)

It will take a few coats of remover, it loses it etching power pretty fast on thick coatings.
