Yes, unless it was swapped from the original. If you have the jeep you can take a picture and we can tell you as well.

The VIN doesn't store the axle ID, but it can be used to find out what axle was installed at the factory

ehall is correct, the VIN does not tell you what rear axle you have. To find that out you can use your VIN to request a build sheet, or you can go here and look at the different pictures.

given that it is a Chrysler VIN. neither the dealer nor corporate could give me any information based on an AMC VIN, they just referred me to a Chrysler historical group that might be able to find a build sheet, if I paid them.
