How difficult is it to replace door glass in 2000 XJ? Possible without specialty tools or knowledge?

Its not too bad. Hardest part is getting the nut that attaches the glass to the track off. You didn't say if it was front or rear. On the rear, you have to swivel the stationary glass to get in the new panel.

Its really easy. Just remove all the interior door trim. Then you'll see where the glass connects to the "elevator" that moves it up and down. Just unbolt then drop in the new one and bolt it up.
