Exhaust transition in diameter

I purchased a 2.5 inch cat converter and catback exhaust from magnaflow, at the time i didn't know that there wasn't a traditional downpipe on my 01 Cherokee sport but a pre-cat system that only comes in 2.25". My question, is there a way to transition between the two sizes with the exhaust section before the cat converter? Please excuse me if this is a stupid question but I've never installed exhaust components before. thanks -stew

go to any parts store tell them you need a reduser from 2 1/2 to 2 1/4 explain what you are doing they will help you cost about 3 dollars for one
