Or will it be the trigger for WWIII? I don't see how the world powers can allow Iran to gain nuclear weapons capabilities.

can it be prevented?

Yes, if Iran stops developing nuclear weapons.

Will it be? I don't think so. And if they keep working to develop them, I'm not sure it should be prevented.

Because OH MY GOD ZIONIST CONSPIRACY *puts on tinfoil hat*

What was that I was saying? Must have been the Illuminati beaming bad thoughts into my brain with cell phone towers while causing chemtrails. I'll have to throw some more orgone energy grenades around.

:looney:

Yeah, from what I can tell, most people who hate israel/the jews are whacked in the head in some way or another...

....why stop with Iran...? I hope Israel gets pissed off enough to wipe out the rest of the middle east - minus MAYBE Jordan, Bahrain and UAE. But Syria, Saudi, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Iraq (once we leave) and the rest can all just take a dirt nap....

YES!!!!!!!! Thats what I am saying. I wouldn't lose any sleep. The country wants to take out the rest of the world so if they feel that way about us, I have no remorse for anyone there! That may sound harsh to some people but Iran deserves it!

Bummer for the millions of Iranians that don't support tyranny, state religion, semitism, etc......

Iran's government deserves it, the people, meh not so much. The culture is a product of the governments influence.

Israel will not carpet bomb as they know they could not get away with it. With a surgical strike they can get away with a peepee slap like in '81

Israel will not carpet bomb as they know they could not get away with it.Israel doesn't have the capability to "carpet bomb" Iran. They could get away with, and have the capability to deliver pinpoint airstrikes, if they have good enough intel to get enough of the sites. Possibly a better pinpoint target would be the Iranian parliament building (in session). Which would open a whole 'nother can of worms.

At that point we would be dealing with their revolutionary guards directly, another set of wacko's.

Like I said, a whole 'nother can of worms. But the political/economic upheaval would probably shut down the nuclear program for the foreseeable future.

Israel doesn't want to bomb civilians, weather or not they have the capability. Just one more trait that distinguishes her from the neighborhood.

Something has to give on the Iran front, and I think it'll be soon. And I pray they're not stupid enough to wait for help from Obama.

I for one support semitism, anyone who wishes to practice it is welcome to. Antisemitism on the other hand... ;)

(yes, I know what you meant)

If they're going to do this, they better do a good job. They pulled off the attack on Osirak very nicely, I hope they have similar skill/luck this time around.

With a little support for the opposition the current regime in Iran would be gone. Problem is, what would take its place?

If it goes thermonuclear, we are all in the sh*t. Radiation likes to travel around, remember Sweden and Norway after Chernobyl? The distance between Stockholm and Chernobyl is about the same as the distance from Tehran to Tel Aviv.

It can't be prevented, but I hope we stay out of it.

Big deal, I survived strontium 90 all though the 50's and 60's, whats the big deal. :D
One trident doing a ripple launch could clean house on well over 200 targets and get them within about 20 feet of where we wanted them.
