Advance Adapters SYE snap rings ?

I found a pretty good deal on a used AA SYE for my 01 AW4 NP231 and it's missing the Mode Hub Snap ring and the Seal Washer for the Rear Yoke. I'm wondering if the Snap ring from the original assembly will work on the Mode Hub, and if silicone on the splines will prevent a leak without the washer?

Maybe you could send it back to AA and have them rebuild it. I'd suspect bearings might be toast. Maybe I'm just being paranoid :gee:

Bearings are good. It was a take off on a Jeep where the owner installed an atlas. Kit looks like new. All I had to buy was a new seal, and ordered the snap ring and seal washer. If it needed a bearing, I would install it myself.

Silicone is fine, although AA uses both the seal washer and silicone. You can probably find a standard snap ring that will work. I am sure they use readily available parts like that. It is too expensive to manufacture custom snap rings.
