non-stick

Since I've been bitten hard by the crawlin' bug, I'm taking the xj off the streets and going full trail. That means sawzall and welder time... I'll be selling some of the "less useful" wheeling bits from it before they get destroyed.
Opened a thread in the for sale forum.

Prefer local pickup, but make reasonable offers.
Thanks.

not gonna happen Rich. Never, nope, nada!!! Sucker! So you're actually gonna chop it? Thought you were just gonna put an internal cage in it, not chop it? Plans changed?

I'm going to cage AND chop. Don't need the hatch and glass and all the extra baggage to tear it up offroad. I don't even drive it on road any more, so why pay insurance and inspections for running at Crozet?
Besides, I figure some of the better pieces can help fund the project. Looking to do a cage, new seats and harnesses, and some other mods to make it more capabe given the current drivetrain. Once I start breaking drivetrain pieces than I'll upgrade those.
Besides, I think it would be neat to be the only XJ doing House at Crozet..... Just gotta talk Chris and Heather into it...
The only down side is I'll probably be down 'til march getting the work done now that I don't have the cash flow of a few months ago.

Already started pulling the interior out for sale last night. Going to work on my idle problem today and pull a few other non-essential parts off if time allows.
It looks like I'm going to hit Crozet next weekend (11/11) before I get too far along. The wife actually has Saturday off and she's been begging to goso why not, afterall we may be separated but we can still be friendly right? Besides, I'm sure that should pretty much finish it off :D
