M-715 (note snorkel and exhaust... looks like the whole damn thing is submersible)
So... you want one, and wifey says "NO! I want shoes, and I want you to cuddle with me while we watch American Idol.":thumbdn:
We find ammunition for our 'need more Jeeps' argument in the most unlikely place. At least terrorists, or, um, 'frustrated disprivilaged persons who like to praise Allah before their acts of lunacy'lastara
How so? You ask.
They have taken it to the streets. If they got their mitts on a decent vehicle, would you rather have wifey rear ended in her 'cute and sporty' Civic or a nice, simple, reliable M-715?
Don't believe me? See the link HERE (http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/queens/bridge_terror_tZ0hhGHb8g8Q37EoLcfxNM)
...chances are he'll be charged in civilian court. Seems to be the trend these days. I've seen drug dealers endure more harm than these guys.

You could join the Army,...
You'd get to drive all kinds of neat green (and tan) 4wds.(and 6-, and 8-wds), tracks, play with all kind of fun guns. 'Wife wouldn't have anything to say about it.(except possibly "goodbye")

Hm. My wife sez we've just got to come up with the dosh to buy one - she's already otherwise on board with the idea.
I keep wanting to get an M113 Gavin, put road tyres on it and a pair of 4BTs to power the thing, and give it to her to drive to work (she's an excellent driver. I just don't trust the I-D-10-Ts she's forced to share the road with...)

Bad drivers/street racing/road raging/drunk driving incidents were a major reason behind buying a Suburban as a family vehicle.
There are no guarantees, but a Deuce comes close. :)

'Had some idiot ram a 3 series BMW under the back of a parked Deuce in Germany in the '80s. 'Sheared the roof off the car, and broke both rear axles loose from the truck. No injuries,...
in the deuce. They're pretty sure nobody in the car felt anything either.

Just classic...... The video in that Post article...... They show a SWAT or Military Special Forces team go into the building to get the guys..... and then they're walked out by guys in suits...... none of em even wearing handcuffs.
Another American tragedy is looming boys...... they're finding these Jihad MF'ers all over the place, in our Colleges. And the American public is just gonna let it happen.... again.
Time for collection camps........

Haha. And when something breaks, you have two sets of steering components to fix!

Let your wife commute in that and she will get some respect on the highway.
